Prospective Governor’s PARDONS!
Although more research may be necessary, my prospective administrations, if elected, may want to (likely) forgive previous corruptions, as long as they proactively and positively work for the future of Hawaii.
Note: Some damages, as a result of such corruption, may need to be compensated or returned, though. However, they may likely be assessed and evaluated further, before such actions.
Governor with bigger planning and dream?
If and when I get elected as your governor, I want to be a bigger scale governor that we may not have much seen before.
Although I may sometimes need to delve into detailed microscopic policy issues, but I may often want to leave them more on Lt. Gov, mayors, and other government officers, by utilizing and maximizing their functions, while I focus more on bigger scale macroscopic plans.
I know it may seem too far distant reality for us at this point, but I believe we should be working toward the goal and direction.
Well, at this point, our society may need a shock therapy, esp. in improving our emotional health; and I may want to prove and show the People of Hawaii, how the current establishments might have controlled and manipulated us only for their interests and benefits, and also have ruined our unlimited imaginations and possibilities of the better Hawaii’s future.
But, I just hope that I don’t have much time to post my photo-ups with people on Facebook as often as Gov. Ige has done, (after I get elected)….lol.
Aloha.
Our fundamental societal issue may be and stem from the fact that people tend to only shout for their rights, while they don’t care much about their responsibilities as citizens.
If I get elected, (although myself not perfect), I will do my best to educate and remind public and people of this important fact.
And, I hope to be a good referee in dealing with many societal issues, with this concept.
Aloha.
Note: We may also achieve the goal of balanced understanding of the fact thru by improving our emotional (mental) health, e.g. boosting self-esteem.
If and when I get elected as governor, one of the key words would be INCLUSIVE, in the perspective of all people, not just in certain groups’.
Please, remember I would always remind it to myself, e.g. whenever dealing with issues, esp. special interest group’s.
Hawaii is multi-ethnic, multi-cutural community.
Note: If any certain group of the people’s fundamental basic rights, (including native Hawaiians’), may be in danger, then I would think more deeply and help them, even if majority of people may not agree or be largely affected. Aloha.
Note: The prospective better candidate may have to pass my vetting process as well as publicly announce his or her platform (at least, the same as mine, or better): I also want to warn the special interest groups (including media), not to play game, (or take advantage of my offer), e.g. by falsely bringing candidate(s) to mislead the people.
Mr. Weyant,
This was my answer to your question (regarding big change) on other thread.
Well, you will see if you check my site, richardkimhawaii.com.
Among other things,
1. Establishment of Aloha Dept.
2. Making sure its function as Non profit, and independent from government control, esp. financially.
3. Media Reform. Legislation of A good media law, thru legislature. Establishment of Aloha Dept’s Rating on main media.
4. Legislature reform. E.g. Change of Legislative sessions to full time with increase of their salary.
5. Discuss and find a way to Better help and control of special interest groups.
6. Forensic Audit on Rail.
7. Improve mental health of the population. E.g. Help people with low self-esteem, like drug abuser. Help homeless find shelters with help from entire community, at the minimum, (find a way, even if they refuse)…
8. Improve economy. Discuss and have consensus with people and legislature on self sustainabilty with balanced growth. E.g. If can get a consenus, then may need to diversify, have, and build e.g. manufaturing business, for balanced growth and self reliance.
9. Discuss with fed, regarding, e.g. security, jones act, helping improving Hawaii’s economy, esp where there may be conflicts in between national security and Hawaii’s economic growth.
10. Etc….
These are some of the changes you may see, (that I can think of now), that people may perceive them as BIG CHANGE.
Aloha.
If elected as Governor,
Simply,
My governing PHILOSOPHY is going to be “Aloha Spirit will rule our society.”
(Picture from FB)
My governing PRINCIPLE is going to be “Basic and Fundamental Right” vs “Special Interest”; at each time, I will try to remind myself the current demographics of our population.
Aloha.

What, do you think, should be the qualifications for Governor?
Among other things, importantly, I believe, Governor should be a dreamer, but a big dreamer.
Simply, Governor should not be just a linear person, who would mostly focus on current issues, but a tertiary or even a fourth dimensional person, who would also plan, guide, shape, and mold a big blueprint for the future and generations to come.
In current Hawaii’s politics, I feel, there may be no leaders with such a big dream. Unfortunately, many of them might have been even struggling to delve into current sociopolitical issues, somewhat pointlessly.
Sometimes, I feel, special interest groups might have been leading the political leaders, based on their interests, as if they (special interest groups) may be working for the future.
It is an absurd reality.
Of course, even if I get elected, there will be tons of current sociopolitical issues that I may need to face and tackle; and I may have to admit that there may be no guarantee of resolution of them even during my term.
But, I would want to, at least, change the direction, and guide Our Ship (from the troubled water, if any), for the better and CORRECT future. And I would not allow and let the special interest groups (including Media) to control and decide our future of Hawaii… (at least during my term).
Yesterday, a lady who stated she works with Rep. Tupola, campaigned for her on my page, Richard Kim for Governor, claiming Ms. Tupola does a lot of community work, everyday. And, she asked me what I have been doing?
I did not want to respond due to her rudeness, but I was going to say,
“Yes, I have been DREAMING EVERYDAY for the future of Hawaii..!, while you are diligently working at your community.”
I am not sure, but hope she is capable of understanding me what I meant…
Aloha.
Note: My current “project”, (which may be in the lady’s term), which is as in part of and prerequisite for my “Dream”, may also include studying and (some) monitoring Media, Government, etc, in addition to informing and educating public… Mahalo.
My governing principle, if elected as Governor, is going to be simple.
General interest (and basic rights) vs Special Interest.
As a citizen, everyone should have and enjoy his or her basic fundamental rights, which are guaranteed by constitutions and laws. But, we should also think our responsibilities as citizens, just like “Freedom is not free”.
Whether you are an Individual, Homeless, Union or its members, Native Hawaiians, Christians, Muslims, LBGT, Monsanto, Media, etc, we should always think about our responsibilities as citizens (or members of our society). That means, we should think about our duty as much as our right, especially if and when we voice or demand our rights.
I will always fight for your basic and fundamental rights, but don’t expect me to support your special interests, even if you may think they may be, or sound like your rights.
Please, remember, when I deal with any issue or situation, my position would be simple, and always be in and for People of Hawaii, FIRST; since, as Governor, I would have fiduciary duty to Our Citizens. (I will try to think and remind myself Our Current Demographics…)
Aloha.
P.S. My response to a question regarding Homeless,
“…as I stated, my fundamental tackling principle is as stated in the post, (today’s, General Interest and basic rights vs Special Interest). Please, figure out, if you can. It is an complicated issue, but I have a basic idea, as I stated in the post. (Specifics?, I may have to defer til I get elected, since it may have to be modified as we go, although I have some ideas…) Clue: I may treat Homeless, (sort of) some people with special interest… Aloha.”
Note: One reason why I need to defer my specific plan for Homeless, is because I may need help from other people and departments; it may have to be a community effort. For Example, I may need help from, among other people, legislature, police, judicial department, ACLU, private sectors (e.g. builders), etc… Thanks and Aloha.
Updated: I decided to share more specifics regarding homeless issue. Plz, check other recent posts regarding, e.g. Multipurpose (large scale) transitional homeless shelters. They may be used as shelters for hurricane, tsunami, bomb, or even used as makeshift detention centers, or even armory.
These shelters would solve homeless issue in short term, but also costeffective in long term.
Aloha.
One of my replies on comments in one of my posts. (Regarding a Mr. Trump supporter who asked me some policy questions).
“I mostly agree with you.
But, I would want to discuss with a free thinker who may and can be above and beyond party lines.
I don’t want to discuss with a person, who may be likely entrenched in party issues, since I already sensed…
And, because, I know we may not get a fair and healthy conclusion or answer for all voters, (but, not just for some voters).
For more info, plz, check my site, richardkimhawaii.com for more info about my positions, on which you may draw your own conclusions based on my basic and fundamental philosophy.
Thanks.”
Note: This response may and can be applied to any democrats (or any other people) who refuse to have a free thinking, as well, (although I am a democrat). Mahalo nui.
“Aloha Spirit will rule our society.”
It will be my governing theme and philosophy, if and when I get elected as Governor.
In addition to boosting our self-esteem (e.g. by implementing two more holidays; Eddie Day and Queen’s Day) and creation of Aloha Dept., if necessary, I would want to implement “Pledge of Allegiance to Aloha (Spirit)”, and sworn? in schools and public places, until deemed unnecessary.
