I hesitated for about a week, if I should share this story with my fb friends, or not. But, you already heard the story about it before; so, I decided to share.
With a heavy heart, I now report that a friend, who I have known for a few years, has passed away. He is believed to be my surveillant, who most likely might have worked for government. He was a very respected local (3rd generation) Korean man, a retired colonel in US military.
I even called him dad and liked him much.
I feel both he and I are victims.
Although there is no direct connection, I especially feel bad because I feel I might have contributed to his death, a sudden cardiac event, happened at his home, which was reported to me by his daughter, via text messages.
(I did not speak or meet him after I confronted him regarding the wrongful surevillance by him (and others). You may check my previous post, regarding e.g. the threat of drowning incident.)
Recently, I randomly met his friend, at a restaurant, a local Japanese man, who I once had lunch together with him a while (2-3 years?) ago. There, I explained and complained to him (his friend) about the wrongful surveillance on me by him.
Then, a few days after, I received text message about his death by his daughter.
He has been my fb friend for a while. And, his daughter texted me that she got my number because she saw notifications on his phone whenever I made new post here on facebook.
I feel sad…
On the day of my confrontation (the last time I saw him), I remember saying to him that he should live long to see I become Governor and Hawaii prosper; and, he should be proud of me.

Yesterday, one of my beach (local) friends told me, and now thinks, “Guarantee” in his words, that I would be elected as next governor. (In fact, he was one of people who might have previously doubted about my candidacy.)
Media now cover republican candidates for governor; Ms. Tupola, state rep. and Mr. Carroll.
Well, as you know, I haven’t seen my name in media as a (possible) candidate, (despite my announcement more than a year ago), even way before Ms. Hanabusa announced and entered the race.
Why do you think media are not covering my candidacy?…Fyi, I might have still been under surveillance, also by (including) drone and helicopter…(believe it or not), although some people may say I am too paranoid…lol.

Thick Skin? Or Thick Gut?
We often complain politicians of having too much thick skin; but somehow, some people may also want politician-wannabes to have a thick skin. Not to mention the stereotyping, but it is a double standard.
It is a simple misunderstanding; and in some part, I blame to media since they might have wrongfully influenced voters in that way. Nonetheless, it is a sad reality.
However, voters might have mistakenly thought thick “gut” for thick “skin”.
Thick “skin” may mean and lead to corruptions, insensitive to people’s need; while thick “gut” may mean keeping leader’s beliefs for people and justice, fighting against injustice, despite facing harsh reality and opposition.
Definitely, no doubt that I have a thick gut.
My life stories would confirm the character.
I have been everywhere in terms of tough life experiences: E.g. I was harassed multiple times; and even wrongfully framed and accused of harassment, (including sexual).
And, I (might) have been under illegitimate and wrongful surveillance for many years.
Sometimes, I even felt my life was threatened.
Despite those hardships, I did not lose my senses, but tried hard to maintain my values, and stood up against injustice.
Isn’t that the quality you want to see in politicians and leaders?

What do you think is the possibilty that you meet someone (a couple) in Kauai twice (at hotel and Kalalau Lookout) on the same day 5 years ago, and again, meet them (the same couple), twice at two different locations, (where one location is not even a tourist site but a small Cafe), in Rome, Italy, two days in a row on this trip..? (I traveled with one of my high school friends.)
This happened to me again…(I had the same kind of situation in Vancouver and Lake Louise in Canada, about 10 years ago. Fyi, Vancouver and Lake Louise may be in more than 10 hour driving distance.) [I traveled with my (ex) girlfriend.]
The couples were different, but the same style of couples, both white male and asian lady.
(The couple I met in Rome at this time, told me that they don’t even live together; the man lives in Midwest and the lady in New York area, if I remember correctly.
Note: The man was accidentally appeared on my Youtube music video that I recorded in Kalalau Lookout, at that time.)
I would say this can be more than strange…

Note: As a result of (repeated) illegal surveillance (on her, too, because of me), my sister got sick and institutionalized years ago. And, we were not able to locate her whereabouts for a while.
It is (my) big damage due to the illegal surveillance (whether government and/or private).
Well, I agree.
But, in my case, years of unwanted illegal surveillance (whether it is government and/or private) has already made my life more like public?; and I may need to tell and show people more about me…lol.
Therefore, it may be good for the people and society as well, that I run for a public office.
(Try to turn negative to positive…!)

Today, I met a friend at the beach, (I stated on my previous post), who did not answer my call for a while.
I confronted him that he might have been a surveillant.
He did not say or deny the fact; but rather responded back, asking why I want to run for Governor.
First, I told him I might have not wanted to run for any public office, had I not been being under surveillance.
But, I hoped he understood my true intention (that I want to make Hawaii better). And, I asked him; is my quality, “as a doctor (dentist), thinking like a lawyer after years of self taught legal experience (fighting myself multiple times in court against injustice), and further having some good practical knowledge of psychology”, not enough for being a governor?
He did not oppose, or did not say anything…
And, I told him, “Yup, my dream is so big? that, all I want at the moment, is moving to a free rent house, Washington Place, and getting possible pensions”….lol
I hope people also understand my willingness to give back my talents…

A side note from yesterday’s practice and recording on my cellphone of the orginal song, 비상 (飛翔, FLY UP HIGH), that I wrote 30 years ago while attending UCLA.
I apologize to say this, but the recording was done at a public bathroom in Kakaako Waterfront Park. (Note: Not inside the bathroom, but a hallway in between…lol)
(One reason. The natural? acoustics, without amplifier or artificial sound effect, are better than many other places…lol)
Recording was done multiple times due to many distractions, especially due to surrounding noises, mainly man-made…lol
One exception and incident. A big fly went into my mouth while i was singing….Oh, what a terrible feeling, although I spat out right away…lol
But, one more thing I want to share about the moments.
The place was relatively very quiet, isolated place.
But, all of sudden, I noticed a helicopter circled around (or passed by) a multiple times, at least 5 or 6 times, (not to mention other tour helicopters and airplanes which regularly flying around).
Furthermore, there were more people than usual, came and passed by during that time. And, later, even a sheriff’s patrol car came there where the regular normal road is relatively far away for a car to pass…
Yup, my music might have attracted many (more) people, but not this way.
I hope I may be paranoid; but also hope (illegal) surveillance (private and/or public) on me is not still happening…!
It seems surveillance on Mr. Trump might have been possible and done, since Senate Intelligence Committee does not deny or rule out the possibility.
As a victim of illegal surveillance, I can surely feel how frustrated and upset he must have been; however, his claim of wiretapping should have not been declared, even if it is true to him…(although it may not be true to many people)…
Look how much backfire, esp from media, he is getting and enduring now?
I hope his advisers help him make better president for all of us…

(This is long, but I feel I need to write and inform you; especially if you are curious about my life story. Thanks for being patient, in advance.)
Some people may wonder how and why I became involved and entangled in strange episodes of events and unlawful (public and/or private) surveillance.
It all started in California where I previously had my dental practice.
(After receiving my dental diploma from Columbia University in New York, I had hoped to come back to Hawaii, but was not matched to Queen’s Medical Center for my post-graduate training, which was my first choice. But, I rather got matched to UCSF, which may be considered, to some people, among the best in the country.
So, I ended up staying in California; after my post graduate training in San Francisco, I had my practice in Los Angeles area, where my brother lives.)
One day, a patient, who turned out to be a bully,
got into altercation with a (unknown) third party person in front of his house, and received a significant orofacial damage.
Then, with no reason, he filed a malpractice lawsuit against me, claiming I made those damage due to years of bad treatment, allegedly.
I could not accept the wrongful claim, although many practicioners usually settle regardless of merit of the claim because the insurance carriers often suggest and may also want to avoid headaches.
But, I did not settle because of the degree and outragousness of the wrongful claim and, also against my insurance carrier’s wish.
(It was one and only malpractice lawsuit against me, in my entire life as dentist.)
[I may explain more details of my lawsuit(s) later, if necessary.]
But, although I got fully exonerated and won the lawsuit unanimously in a jury verdict, painstakingly after more than 2 years; the significance of this patient’s wrongful claim may pertain to his bullying.
Although the patient is a white male, who was born and raised in US, he had visited North Korea, and further harassed me to go to North Korea together with him, before the incident of this lawsuit.
I was not sure if he is a North Korean agent, but I tried not to pay attention much, because I am American citizen and have been living in America.
However, during the actual trial of this malpractice suit, I received North korean money twice by mail, without senders name. But, the postage stamps were one from Honolulu, the other from New York.
I got really annoyed and worried; so this time, I reported to FBI. So, a FBI agent came to my office and interviewed me.
However, afterwards, FBI suddenly stopped communicating with me, without further explanation. And, I feel they have been unfairly putting me under their surveillance. (Even if I wanted to talk with them, they had cut the communication unilaterally.)
Now, it has been more than 10 years. I (first) reported to FBI in 2005 (if I remember correctly), when I received those North Korean money at two different times, during the actual jury trial of the malpractice suit.
I have never been to North Korea, and have no ties to North Korea whatsoever; although my parents, who passed away many decades ago, were escaped from North Korea during the Korean war. (Fyi, there were presumably 10 million family members separated as a result of the war, and many, if not most, of them already passed away.)
(I was born in South Korea many years after the war.)
I feel like an actor in the 007 movie; sometimes, I feel like I want to catch those people…

If anything happens to my wellbeing, then you may suspect of a foul play, e.g. accident…etc.
Fyi, Two different people threatened to assault me (by throwing a punch) and (by drowning) at two different times, in Ala Moana park and beach, a while ago. (These incidents are other than the first incident that I reported that I was punched in the head last year.)
Note: I did not report to you when they happened, because I felt they might be isolated incidents like the first incident (punched in my head), and I did not get hurt at all in both times.

1.In the incident of threatening to drown me, on the day of the incident, I called and reported the incident to a friend, who, I thought, might know the harasser better. But, afterwards, somehow, the friend is not answering my phone calls anymore, (for a while), til now.
So, I just felt weird that I should now report on facebook…
2.The other incident appeared to be happened (and threatened) by a mentally ill (unknown) person; but, it was not clear if he was in fact mentally ill.
But, luckily, I was able to avoid the attack because he did not throw punch after my continuous plea not to hurt.
Both incidents happened before I left for Kauai in November.

I totally thank him because I can now say this, (and, people may understand me without blindly accusing me of having paranoia).
Although some people may still claim I am paranoid, lol…, (and, I have to admit my suspicions sometimes turn out to be wrong or inconclusive), I might have been under surveillance maybe over 10 years, by government and/or other agencies, (as well as privately investigating companies, probably due to my previous lawsuits).
Do you know how you feel like, if you feel you may be on some people’s radar, 24/7?

Although my case is different and in a lesser degree, BULLYING has to be stopped in any form…!
