Armory and Homeless Shelter

Multipurpose Homeless Shelters and Funding.

Hawaii may have highest per capita homeless. (~7000?)
Now, we have crisis (lava disasters) in Big island, which may create more homeless.

Previously, I proposed multipurpose large scale shelters for them.

Armory for Hawaii national guards may be one.

And, if necessary, we may build better structure and also use for bomb shelters, (not to mention shelters for tsunami and hurricane).

One major benefit of its use as armory may be the funding that we can get from Fed.

If I get elected to be your governor, I will use my diplomacy, esp. with federal government, and would not mind frequently travel to Washington DC, to discuss and negotiate with fed officers including President Trump, if necessary.

As I stated before, that is why I want to utilize other officers like Lt. Gov, mayor, and other public officers, more.

Well, in terms of bigger planning and vision, without a doubt, I am way better than any current gubernatorial candidates.
(Gov. Ige? Ms. Hanabusa? Mr. Hee?…)

Aloha.

Keyword: large(r) scale Governor.

Note: Some other agendas for possible discussion with Fed and for their involvement may also include Security and Safety, Jones Act, Media reform, Health care, Education, Lobbysts, Ferries, Economy (e.g. bringing manufacturing industry to Hawaii), Environment (and EPA), Nuclear Power usage (build a plant?), Food and Agriculture, Sustainability, etc.

It is Official…

It is official; I filed the nomination paper, today.
Democratic Candidate for Governor.
Aloha.

Note: Oath of Loyalty? or Affirmation?

“Becoming Governor”, I believe, should (must) be God’s blessing and His will, more than my own conviction or affirmation.

So, I did swear and declare ‘Oath of Loyalty to God’, at this time.

“I, Richard Y. Kim, do solemnly swear and declare, on oath that if elected to office I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America, and the Constitution and laws of the State of Hawaii, and will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that if elected I will faithfully discharge my duties as GOVERNOR to the best of my ability; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; So help me God.”
