My analysis on recent event about Media’s premature announcement of Ms. Donna Kim’s wanting to run for Ms. Hanabusa’s congressional seat, as if Ms. Hanabusa already officially announced her run for governor and the seat is already available.
(Note: This is only my opinion; and may not necessarily be true, although they may be possible.)
Why did Media want to announce too prematurely, without hesitation?
Among other things,
1. Ms. Hanabusa was recently elected as US congresswoman.
2. Ms. Hanabusa announced her intention to run for governor without major agenda less than a year after. (On previous post, I suspected someone or group, including media, might have possibly influenced or forced her to enter into governor race; because I reasoned an intellectual career woman like her would not want to make such irrational or irresponsible decision without thinking.)
3. If Ms. Hanabusa is a reasonable and rational person, which I believe so without a doubt, she might have not personally wanted to enter into governor race.
Because, among other things,
A) She moved to Washington DC only a year ago.
B) She has been a congresswoman only a year.
C) She may have to quit her current position, which is guaranteed for 3 more years.
D) Many people already blame her for the unreasonable decision to run for governor, too soon, without any major agenda.
E) She may not want to risk of losing the governor race, which may, in turn, put her without job for at least 2 years, (if she loses).
F) If she loses, it may also become end of her political career.
G) Governor job may be much harder, even if elected.
4. Among and above the reasons, Ms. Hanabusa may be currently hesitating very much, if she wants to officially quit her current position to run for governor or not.
5. Therefore, this premature news announcement may be Media’s (and/or Groups’) CONTINUED PRESSURE to Ms. Hanabusa, not to change her mind.
6. It may also serve as a continued news to general public and voters, in order to help her in the governor race, (if she officially enters).
This is just some of my thoughts and opinion.
I welcome any other ideas or analysis.
Aloha.
