Today, I renewed my DEA (National) and NED (State) license, which basically I can prescribe any or all drugs, except Class I (research drugs) and medical marijuana (against ethics as a dentist…I can not promote any smoking..lol.)
Hawaii has the one of strictest drug regulation laws in the nation, which requires the state license as well; on top of having 10 fingers (printed) registration and extensive scrutiny on and before the licensure of national DEA (over 23 years ago).
Somehow, I thought of Media (journalists) as professionals ; they could have acted better, had they had more strict laws and/or licensure requirements (if any) on the regular basis.
They might have enjoyed abuse of their power in the name of freedom.
The more I think, having a rating system (on news organization, journalists, and individual articles, separately), like health dept rating on restaurants, is not a bad idea…(of course, their free press right should be guaranteed).

One (more) reason why we need to boost (more) our self-esteem:
More and more people (e.g. the intelectuals, who were educated in the mainland), would and may want to come back to our islands, and work (give back their talents), and serve for People of Hawaii.
