If and when I get elected, one of the things I want to focus may be mental health of State’s population. Yet, I may need to gather more information and/or analyze; but some of them can become possibly or already became homeless. But, my concern is not just those who are already mentally affected, but also those who may look normal but cannot function well socially. I think it may be a reason why it is not uncommon to see people with low self-esteem and/or chemical dependency.
Well, we might have unknowingly inherited these (e.g. crabs in a bucket syndrome) from the previous generation(s); but we may also need to know that we may unknowingly pass these problems on to our next generation, as well.
I know it is very sensitive issue; but getting and feeling better of ourselves (society as a whole) with higher self-esteem may be a top priority as well.
And, I strongly feel this may be one way we can preserve and promote Aloha Spirit..!
But, I will think more carefully and try to find a way to a gradual change in a more positive direction, (and more practically).
Thank you very much for all of your support.
Mahalo.
